ANIMAL PRINTED BANGLES

I am always on the hunt for anything new; from that trendy new cafĂ© to an eye-catching accessory, I like to experiment! Since my last fashion obsession (Read cocktail ring) is running low nowadays I decided to dive into the pursuit of something worthwhile. I was looking for something perfect that I could wear it and not look like a clone of thousand others. I mean nowadays everybody is sporting the usual beaded neck pieces, colored bangles, jewelled clips and the likes. So I begun checking out the shops again and was getting morose by the second when these amazing animal printed bangles at the accessorize shop caught my eye. They were gorgeous; unlike those tacky plastic ones they were metallic with animal prints and fit for glam nights!!

SHOP: Accessorize, Inorbit mall, Mumbai (Malad, Vashi)

PRICE: Rs 300 for a set of 3

I will surely put the pictures as soon as I can but till then I browsed and found these equally wonderful ones online. Check it out and let me know if these fascinate you too!!

DOLL IT UP LIKE 90210

I have been an avid follower of Gossipgirl which Ihave always considered as one of the most stylish shows on tv;  and now 90210 has somehow managed to capture my attention. Though I think GG fashion is incomparable, 90210 doesn't exactly dissapoint either. I really love the concept of dressing up for the beach. Where GG showcased the fashion of the upper East side, 90210 focusses on the fashion of the rich and famous Beverly hill residents. Fashion can be so different but at the same time uber stylish too!! As i always say 'variety is the spice of life'.

90210  tumblr-polyvore

Though I love all the four girls (naomi, ade, silver and anne) its silver (third from left) whom I totally adore. With her short chic haircut to that amzing but subtle eyemake up that she sports, she is totally a 90210 stylista. I just love her layered clothing stlye and the stylish gold neckpieces. So I decided to attempt the task of bringing her striking wardrobe to my blog and make a collage of it. Hope you like it!!

JERSEY COUTURE

I have seriously become addicted to polyvore though I admit I do get all psychotic when I see all the lovely dresses and shoes there!! But the thing is I really love mixing and matching stuffs. It's so much fun and creatively challenging also. This week I put my heart and soul to create this set for the jersey couture contest there. Hope you like it!! Please let me know what you think about this.

[caption id="attachment_261" align="aligncenter" width="500" caption="JERSEY COUTURE"][/caption]

                                                                                      ILLUSIONS !!-POLYVORE

I love vintage so I gave the background a vintage feel with the pink laced couches and the retro disco ball. The ruffled yellow LINDA CORAL dress paired up with the purple leopard print stilletos ($115)  is tricky and conventional but works if you accessorize it well. The DEVI KROELL Large frame clutch ($1790) is amazingly chic and provides a touch of  sophistication to the whole ensemble. The LENORA DAME FLORAL BIB necklace ($98) is elegant and glam. HEIDI'S VINTAGE STYLE PURPLE ADJUSTABLE CRYSTAL ring ($25) is my favorite.

You can click on the link below the picture to know more about the pieces.

COCKTAIL RINGS

[caption id="attachment_254" align="aligncenter" width="480" caption="Photo credit:hipgirlie.com"][/caption]

One of the perfect accessories this summer is the cocktail ring. Rings have always been my favorite piece of accessory. They are elegant and not in the face flashy if you know what I mean. It's really wonderful to see how a rather small piece of jewellery can do so much for your whole ensemble. I have always preferred them over neck pieces or even earings!! You can wear it to a party, for an evening out or brunch with your friends...And the best thing about them is that they won't get lost when you dance crazily in a club unlike earings which after a night of partying magically vanish from my ears or at least one of them does.... So yeah I am loving these cocktail rings.

There are loads of them in different designs available everywhere. Though they are just seeping in the stores now, I could see loads of them in striking colors in many shops.

Aldo accessories has a great collection starting from small diamond encircled pearl rings to different colored gems studded in silver bands. They also have these cute light gold colored flower rings in different sizes, shapes and colors. I would recommend the intricately designed floral petal ones and the gem studded serpent ones. They are moderately priced from Rs 325 onwards. I also found some white pearl rings which are classic, elegant and looks chic with almost every outfit. A silver ring set with a black square-cut gem is a must-have to go with those little satin dresses!!

Colaba causeway never fails me.  If your budget is a little less, then colaba causeway is your savior. Though you have to hunt a little, you are sure to find some great pieces there. If you like antique or vintage ones, then this place will blow you away. From the silver rings studded with colorful oval gems to semi-precious ones, it's all here. The rings mostly are not flashy and has a vintage feel to them. A little bargaining also will go a long way!!

Then we have all those great designer pieces that are drool worthy. I can't have enough of the rings by Monique pean, Roberto Cavalii, yves saint laurent and Christina Rotondaro.

I have seriously become very lazy nowadays. Though fashion is changing everyday, I still find myself struggling to find something to write about!! The other day in the mall, I couldn't even find one dress that I liked and those which managed to catch my attention were way overpriced. hmm.. So much for shopping therapy!! I guess I have to find something else to comfort me ..

JUMPSUITS

I have been closely watching the revival of the jumpsuit trend. Slowly but surely its making its way and seeping into the summer fashion scene and I for one is pleased. I still remember the dungrees that I used to adore wearing years back, which then gradually had faded away. Well in fashion, what goes around, comes around and it has with loads of glam no less. Jumpsuits can be a little tricky to wear but you can select the one that suits your body type.

NY Fashion week Spring 2009 Runway Trends

The resort wear collection from Chanel has a very spring-summer feel to it. The fabrics been used are light weight and breezy making them ideal choices for the hot summer evenings. The full length jumpsuits suit long legs so people who are petite can either wear stilettos or else go for something shorter and above the knees. Also a v necked style creates an illusion of height.

I like the short styled jumpsuits as they are great for summers and looks very chic and glam. also it suits all body types so very versatile.

It is best to avoid very loose fitted jumpsuits as it doesn't look good hanging. At the same time, tight fitted ones also need to be worn accordingly. Jumpsuits suit all occasions.. Shopping, Brunches, Evenings and also for those night outs. If you are bored with wearing the same old LBD's and skirts, then just jump into one, accessorize with sky-high heels and blingy belts and watch heads turn.
